Funeral Service for 84 year old Mr. John Lewis Duckett, of Clarksville, Texas who went to be with his Lord September 19, 2020 in his residence, will be Saturday, September 26, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. in Citizens Funeral Home Chapel, 500 E. Church Street, Clarksville, TX with Dr. L.E. Cole officiating and Rev. Willie Coulter, eulogist. Interment: English Cemetery, Clarksville, TX Under the direction of Citizens Funeral Home, 500 E. Mr. John Lewis Duckett was born June 30, 1936 in De Queen, AR to the parents of John Duckett Sr. and Esterlene Williams, both preceded him in death. He moved to Clarksville as a young boy and attended Annona School. He met and married Shirley Wooten and they were married in Holy Matrimony on July 19, 1992. John was a member of Martin Shiloh Baptist church under the leadership of Bishop L.E. Cole. He worked at Phillip Industries for 30 years and retired in 2006. He spent his retirement years spending time with family and taking care of his yard. He also enjoyed his favorite pass time hunting and fishing until his health started to fail.
