Funeral Service for 56 year old Mr. Joe W. Scott of Clarksville, Texas who went to be with his Lord Monday, April 2, 2018, in Titus Regional Medical Center, Mount. Pleasant, Texas will be Saturday, April 7, 2018 @ 11:00 a.m. at Zion Traveler Baptist Church, 501 S. Walnut, Clarksville, TX with Pastor P.A. Porchia, officiating and Pastor James Johnson, eulogist.
Interment in Turner Cemetery, Fulbright, Texas
The family will receive friends Friday, April 6, 2018, 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel.

Mr. Joe Wiley Scott Jr was born March 13, 1962 to the parentage of the late Joe Wiley Scott Sr. and Clara Faye Scott. Joe Jr (Popeye) spent his early years in Paris, TX. He attended Olive Branch Baptist Church and T.G Givens Elementary school. His family moved to Clarksville, TX in October 1972. Joe Jr. then joined Hope Valley Baptist Church and attended Clarksville schools. He left twelfth grade, joined the U.S. Army and later earned his GED, while serving for four years. He worked at Pilgrim’s Pride in Mount Pleasant, TX, Scotch Craft and the Boat Factory in Clarksville, TX. His present employment was Tyson’s Foods in Broken Bow, OK.
