Funeral services for Mr. Jimmie Lee Brown, of Dublin, will be held on Saturday, October 8, 2016 at 1 PM at the Driskell Tabernacle Baptist Church, 223 Martin Luther King Drive in Dublin. Reverend Willie Reed will officiate. Interment will follow in the Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery in Allentown.

Mr. Brown, who passed on October 3, 2016, was born October 8, 1940, to the late Mr. and Mrs. Jim and Leola W. Brown in Wilkinson County. He was united in holy matrimony to the late Bessie Williams Brown. To this union five children were born.

At an early age he joined Friendship Baptist Church. He worked at Dykes Construction for many years. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge.

Mr. Brown was preceded in death by his parents, nine siblings, Cleo, Leo, Harold, James, Andrew and Walter Brown, Clemmie C. Hall and Willie and William Nesbitt; god sister, Thelma Jenkins.

Mr. Brown leaves to cherish his memory two sons, Leroy (Leslie) Williams, Tony Brown; three daughters, Linda Williams, Judy Brown, Sara Brown all of Jeffersonville; two sisters, Evelyn Brown, Dublin, Peggy Brown, Atlanta; one brother, Lindsey Brown, Macon; three sisters-in-law, Betty Brown and Elaine Nesbitt, Macon, Nancy Brown, Atlanta; two foster sisters, Louis Nesbitt, Francis Elvine, Cairo; one godson, Robert Jones, eighteen grandchildren, thirty five great grandchildren; four devoted nieces, Sennie (Michael) Burnett, Takika (Matthew) Dean, Wanda (Sheddrick), Ammons and Shamika Hill; four devoted nephews, William Hall, Jr., Jermaine Hall, Michael Brown and Deonta Larsha and a host of other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

The family is receiving friends at 1100 South Jefferson Street in Dublin.
