Funeral services for Mr. Jerry Lee White, Sr., of Wrightsville, will be held at 11 AM on Friday, September 30, 2016, in the C. D. Dudley Memorial Chapel at the Dudley Funeral Home. Elder Jasper White, Jr. will officiate.

Mr. White, who passed on September 23, 2016, was born on August 25, 1953, to the late Jasper White Sr. and Carrie Lee Cordy in Washington County.

Mr. White attended Doc Kemp School in Wrightsville and continued his high school education at Plant City High School, Plant City, Florida. Mr. White was a talented musician and excelled at playing the guitar. He played for various churches in Georgia and Florida. He was also a skilled artist. He spent most of his adult life in Homestead and Hollywood, Florida working as a handyman and roofer before retiring when his health began to fail. He faithfully served as handyman and provided caregiving support to Ms. Wynell Smith until his death.

He leaves behind his beloved mother, Carrie Lee Cordy, Wrightsville; his devoted friend and companion, Freddie Mae Warthen, Sandersville; one son, Jerry White, Jr., Hollywood, Florida; two daughters, Monica St. Jacques, Homestead, Florida, and Erica Brown, Miami, Florida; five sisters, Pearl (Leon) Gaskin, Davie, Florida, Mary White, Plant City, Florida, Annie Kate Knighten, Belton, Texas, Marie (Benny) Brantley, East Dublin, Charlie Mae Price, Augusta; seven brothers, Elder Jasper (Vickie) White, Plant City, Florida, Henry (Pam) White, Sr., Plant City, Florida, James (Liz) White, Lakeland, Florida, Kenneth (Yvette) Cordy, Augusta, Reverend Jimmy (Elizabeth) Cordy, East Dublin, Eddie (Mary) Cordy, Dublin, Reverend Dr. Hayward Cordy, Wrighstville. He also leaves behind several grandchildren, and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and other relatives.


The family will receive friends at 337 Thompson Grove Church Road in Wrightsville.
