Mr. Jerry Simpson was born January 23, 1945 to Louis L. and Levella Taylor Simpson in Fulbright Texas. Jerry united with the New Zion Baptist Church of Fulbright and later moved to the New Hope Baptist Church of Detroit, Texas. He attended school in Fulbright and worked 30 years for the Texas Department of Transportation as a heavy equipment operator.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Thelma Coleman Simpson; son, Jerry Simpson, three brothers, and one sister.
Jerry was a very friendly person that enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
