Funeral services for Mrs. Jerrie Lee Sanders, of New York, New York, will be held at 1 PM on Saturday, January 27, 2018, at the C. D. Dudley Memorial Chapel at the Dudley Funeral Home. Reverend Ralph Taylor will deliver the eulogy. Interment will follow in the Dudley Memorial Cemetery.

Jerrie Lee Tart was born on January 15, 1920, to the late Jerry and Flora Milline Tart in Dudley. She was a resident of Dublin for most of her adult life. She and her husband, the late Horace Sanders, raised their four children. She was the Head Chef at the Elks Club of Dublin. She spent the last several years in New York with her children and grandchildren. Mrs. Sanders departed this earth at the age of 98, on January 19, 2018. She lived a long and full life.

She is survived by her two daughters, Ann Sanders Stephens of New York, Barbara Sanders Thomas of Chicago, Illinois, and one son, Elmer Sanders of New York, five grandchildren, Vanessa Stephens of New York, William Stephens of Atlanta, Regina Thomas of New York, Natasha Thomas Wade of London, England, Zayna Sanders of New York. Eight great-grandchildren, Kiera Urena, Marcus Miller, Madison Miller, Amber Wade, Gabriella Wade, William Stephens, III, Eljin Stephens, and Bria Green, and two great great-grandchildren, Naleah Urena, and Alexia Ryan Stephens.

A wake will be held on Saturday, January 27, 12-1 PM preceding the funeral at Dudley Funeral Home.
