Funeral services for Master Jeremiah “JJ” Jones, of Dexter, will be held on Monday, October 7, 2019, at 2 PM at the Pinehill Christian Church at 2908 Fountain Road in Cadwell. Pastor Belinda Faye Mitchell will deliver the eulogy. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

On July 15, 2009, a beautiful baby boy, Master Jeremiah Shaheen Lamark Jones, was born to Robert and Martha Jones. He was a bundle of joy from his birth to the time God called him home. Jeremiah Jones was a fifth-grade student at Southwest Laurens Elementary in Rentz and he attended Pinehill Christian Church in Cadwell. He passed away on October 2, 2019. Seven uncles and three aunts, his grandparents, the late Walker and Tinnie Mae Elvine, Robert and Jeannett Jones, great-grandparents, Willie and Annie Elvine, Jim and Martha Thery, Johnnie and Georgia O’Neal, and J. C. and Margarett Baker, and one nephew, Josiah Smith, preceded him in death.

Master Jeremiah Jones leaves to cherish his loving memories his father and mother, Robert and Martha Jones of Dublin, two sisters, Marica (Chris) Smith of Dexter, Jacqueline (Richard) McNabbi of Crestview, Alabama, three brothers, Ron (Brandy) Smith, Sr., Robert (Crystal) Jones, Sr., of Dublin, Anthony (Cenca) Brown of Manning, South Carolina, one god-brother, Maurice (Shanandrea) Slaughter of Dublin, aunts and uncles, Jearline Dewberry of Cadwell, Ammie Jackson, Luevona (Reverend James) Adams of Macon, Kay (Earl) Lowery of Dublin, Angel Jones of East Dublin, Marcus (Deborah) Jones of Atlanta, Jeffery (Yolanda) Jones of Pensacola, Florida, James (Patricia) Jones, and Edward Hubbard of Dublin, Nicole Jones, Stevie Jones of Lansing, Michigan, two great-aunts, Katie Fullwood of Dublin, and Patricia Baker of Jacksonville, Florida, 19 nieces and nephews, two nephews who were caregivers, Guinmaj and Zeterion Baker of Dexter, and a host of other cousins and friends.
