Funeral services for Mr. Jeffery Floyd, Sr., of Dublin, will be held on Friday, January 30, 2015, at 2 PM at the Christ Deliverance Temple Church, 403 East Garner Street in Dublin. Pastor Kenneth Kates will officiate. Interment will follow in the Rocky Creek Baptist Church Cemetery in Dexter.

Mr. Floyd, who passed on January 22, 2015, was born on November 10, 1970, to Clarence Lee Jackson, Sr., and the late Leila Floyd Edmond in Dublin. Mr. Theartice Edmond raised Jeffery as his own son after marrying Leila Floyd.

Mr. Floyd, after obtaining his commercial drivers license, was self-employed as a truck driver for many years .

He was preceded in death by his mother, Leila Floyd Edmond; brother, Deshawn Horatio Jackson; paternal grandparents, Willie B. Floyd and Pearlie May Floyd.

He is survived by eight children, Tanisha Cannon, Jeffery Floyd, Jr., Jasmine Floyd, Shaquan Washington, Asia Floyd, Cameron Harris, Jakiya Floyd and Jayla Floyd, all of Dublin; stepfather, Theartice Edmond, Sr., of Dublin; father, Clarence Lee Jackson, Sr., of Detroit, Michigan, Theartice Edmond, Jr., Shawn Edmond and Quinton Edmond, all of Dublin; paternal grandmother, Idella Jackson, Dublin; three grandchildren, Jeremiah Floyd, Jelyen Floyd and Chase Washington of Dublin, and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
