Funeral Services for Mr. Jefferin “J-Dogg” Montford, of Dublin, Georgia, will be held on Saturday, May 4, 2019, at 1 PM at the Buckeye Baptist Church, 2176 New Buckeye Road, East Dublin. Reverend David Flowers will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Mr. Montford was born on April 9, 1960, in Dublin to Mary Waters Montford and the late Horace Montford. He attended Dublin High School. He was employed with Forstmann Inc. and with Best Buy. He was known by his close friends as “J-Dogg.” He was a sports enthusiast who enjoyed basketball, footbal, golf, soccer, competitive dominoes, cards, and dancing. His favorite team was the Pittsburg Steelers. He was well known in the community for his laughter, and his personality was one of a kind. Mr. Montford passed away on Thursday, April 25, 2019.

Mr. Montford was preceded in death by his father, by his brother, Theodore Waters, and by a stepdaughter, Sherrell Robinson.

Mr. Montford is survived by his mother, Mary Waters Montford, his life-long companion, Mary Robinson; children, Katoria Montford (Tavares) Davis, Chelsea Montford, Jaylon R. Montford; stepchildren, Rochelle Montgomery, Kinte Robinson; siblings, Earnestine Whatley, Ronnie (Mollie) Montford, Cassandra (Robert) Ford, and Kenneth (Veronica) Montford; grandchildren, Malik Hudson, Rodriquez Parks, Rodricka Parks and Milvari Kelis Montford; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

The family will receive friends at 301 Pinehurst Drive in Dublin, and at the Dudley Funeral Home on Friday, May 3, 6-7 PM.
