Funeral services for Mrs. Jeannette Martin Hagan Sims, 64, of Dublin, will be held at 11 AM on Wednesday, February 13, 2019, at the C. D. Dudley Memorial Chapel at the Dudley Funeral Home. Evangelist Gloria Cleveland Williams will deliver the eulogy.

Mrs. Sims, fondly called “Jen” by family and numerous friends, was born on April 15, 1954, in Savannah, Georgia, to the late Joseph T. and Corrie L. Martin. She was the wife of the late Robert Larry Sims. She passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family, on the evening of Wednesday, February 6, 2019, while under hospice care in Dublin, Georgia. She was preceded in death by her three children, Lashana, Latresa, and Terrance Hagan and by a sister, Sandra Collins.

Ms. Sims worked briefly with the Savannah Association for the Blind and worked with Experience Works At Windsor Forest Community Center. As an eloquent writer in her youth in the early 1970s, she won first place for the best Mother’s Day Narrative, a contest sponsored by WSOK Radio Station of Savannah.

She was a born-again Christian who radiated spiritual exuberance that drew others to Christ. Close knit family ties was a treasure of hers that has proven to be an inheritance among her offspring. She is survived by two daughters, Salana (Virgil) Reed and Joi (Jahrail) Williams, eight grandchildren, Christa Reed, Cicely Hagan, Dakia Reed, Lashana Reed, Lataira Moore, Corriyannah Moses, Jahreil

Williams, Jahreaiel Williams. In addition, to cherish her precious memories and unique humor, is one brother, Harold W. (Gladys) Barney, five sisters, Lula M. (Robert) Lewis, Florrie McGhee, Dorothy A. (Jacob) Brown of Savannah, Gwendolyn Campbell, Colorado Springs, Colorado and Carolyn M. Hilton, Jacksonville, Florida, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
