Jane E. Dehart, of Hagerstown, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 26, 2011, at Meritus Medical Center.Born Sept. 18, 1919, in Hagerstown, she was the daughter of the late Kirby and Clara Dofflemyer Ridenour.She was a graduate of Hagerstown High School and had just celebrated her 75th class reunion.She retired after 45 years of service from the Bon-Ton. In earlier years, she worked at Fairchild Aircraft when her husband was in the service.She was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church of Chewsville.She is survived by her daughter, Rebekah Brown and husband, Doug; two grandchildren, Torrie Smith and Cindi Suddueth and husband, Bill; three great-grandchildren, Jessie Smith, Cary Smith and Justin Gearhart; two great-great-grandchildren, Madison Dundes and Cian Hall; sister, Marie Hartle; and two stepgrandchildren, Michael Brown and Bradley Brown.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Carlton; and daughter, Susan Iseminger.A memorial service will be Saturday, Nov. 5, 2011, at 2 p.m. at J.L. Davis Funeral Home, Smithsburg, Md., with the Rev. John Schildt officiating. Burial will be private.In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Bethel United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 37, Chewsville, MD 21721; or to a charity of one’s choice.
