J D Williams YORK -- James Daniel "J D" Williams, 90, formerly of York, died Thursday, December 20, 2012, at Veterans Victory House Nursing Home in Walterboro, SC. A graveside service will be at11:00 A.M. on Saturday December 22, 2012, at Lakeview Memory Gardens, York, SC, with Revs Randy Gardener and Trey Doyle officiating, with visitation to follow at the cemetery. J D was a son of the late James Andrew Williams and Sarah Kay Williams. He was a member of the First Baptist Church, York, SC, where he served as a deacon and a Sunday School Teacher. J D was retired as a York County Clemson Extension Agent after 30 years service. He received a Distinguished Service Award from the National County Agents Association 1976. Jim served in the United States Marines Corp during World War II, was a member of American Legion, and was a former Rotarian. He is survived by daughter, Robin W. Morrison (Stro), of Estill, SC, and son, James D. Williams, Jr. (Melanie), of Rockridge County, Va., and grandchildren, Stroh Morrison (Jennifer), Mary M. Braddock (Kevin), William Morrison, Townley Williams, Daniel Williams, and great grandchildren, Hayes Morrison, James Morrison and Anna Braddock, a brother, Kirk Williams, and 2 sisters, Melissa W. Looper and Lucretia W. Scarborough. Jim was preceded in death by his wife of 47 years, Frances Redfearn Williams, 1 sister and 5 brothers. Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church York, P.O.
