James Sims

Funeral services for Mr. James E. Sims, Sr., of East Dublin, will be held on Thursday, June 8, 2017, at 11 AM at the Williams Chapel Baptist Church, 1142 Highway 29 East in East Dublin. Reverend John Paige will deliver the eulogy. Interment will follow in the Dudley Memorial Cemetery.

Mr. Sims was born August 18, 1948, to the late James Sims and the late Dorothy Sims Thomas. He departed this life on Monday, June 5, 2017. He was preceded in death by one brother, Larry Sims.

Mr. Sims leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of forty-four years, Brenda H. Sims, East Dublin; daughter, Tiana (David) Bell, Dublin; son, James E. Sims, Jr. of Dublin; three sisters, June (Ossie) Wright, Carlene (Alvin) Montford both of East Dublin, Dorothy Carn, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; stepsister, Margaret Cainion, Jacksonville, Florida; brother, Jeffrey (Vicki) Sims, Dublin, five grandchildren, one great grandson and a host of other relatives and friends.

The family is receiving friends at the family residence, 1075 GA Highway 199 South in East Dublin.
