CLOVER -- James Henry Hurst, 76, of Clover passed away on Sunday, October 11, 2015 at Oakbrook Rehab and Health in Summerville, SC.
A graveside service will be at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, October 14, 2015 at Lakeview Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 14, 2015 from 10 - 11 AM at Bratton Funeral Home in York.
James was a son of the late Willis Derrick Hurst and Gertrude Childers Hurst. He was a retired carpenter, veteran of the United States Navy, and a member at First Baptist Church in Clover.
He is survived by his daughter Dena Kaye Hurst Sellers of Summerville, SC, sisters, Yvonne Plexico of Rock Hill, SC, Patricia Welch of The Villages, FL, brother Will Hurst of Clover, SC, and four grandchildren, Shea, Kyle, Taylor, and Abby. James was preceded in death by his son James Eric Hurst and former wife Kaye Pressley Hurst.
