James Bruce- (Tfh)

James Edward Bruce was born on December 3, 1953 in Texarkana, AR to Willie and Mary Bruce, Jr. After high school, James relocated to Muskegon, MI where he worked as a truck driver at CWC and took courses at Muskegon Community College. In 1977 James married Mary Ray and of this union three daughters were born.
James will be remembered for the extreme love he had for his girls and grandchildren, his brilliant mind, entrepreneurial spirit, and kindness for the less fortunate.
James leaves to cherish his memory; daughters Tamara Williams, Tracee Bruce and Tashica Bruce; grandchildren Todd Bruce-Penn, Jonathan Williams and Jordyn Williams; Lolitha Watson his longtime companion; brothers Silas Bruce, Willie Nathan (Lou) Bruce, Royles (Billie) Bruce, Lemuriel (Jean) Bruce; sisters Mary (Bennie) Smith, Betty (Jean) Edwards, Edna Burnett, Delbra Bruce-Murphy, Ersalene Fulton, and Melissa Bruce. A host of nephews, nieces, family and friends.
James was proceeded in death by his parents, four siblings Shirley (Eszell) Monroe, Doris Byrd, O’dell (Irene) Bruce and Borden (Janice) Bruce and many family members and friends. Visitation will be held at Toombs Chapel on Thursday, May 12, 2016 from the hours of 2-6pm.
