James Brooks

James Alan Brooks 51 went to be with our Lord on January 27th, 2012, after a brave battle with cancer. James was born in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina on August 20th, 1960. He leaves behind his maternal grandmother Virginia Carpenter of Globe, Arizona, his mother Alice Bryant of Glendale, Arizona, his older brother Preston Brooks of Long Beach, California, his sister Connie Velasquez (Leo) of Dallas, Texas, his niece Leticia Escalera (Omar) and his great nieces Jordan, Jada, and Janelle of Fullerton California, his nephew Nicholas Velasquez (Kaysha) his great nephew Dominick and his great niece Lauriah of Dallas, Texas, his niece Jennifer (Matt) Baker and great nephew Anthony of Mississippi, and his niece Stefani of Kansas. He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Brooks of Mobile, Alabama. His maternal grandfather James Elliot Carpenter of Globe, Arizona, his dad Preston Lavon Brooks of Seattle, Washington. James had many wonderful and loving friends who he loved and cared about. James will always be remembered as a gentle soul who loved life. He was a wonderful grandson, son, brother, uncle. You will forever be in our hearts.
