Funeral services for Mr. James Braddy, of Dublin, will be held at 1 PM on Saturday, October 29, 2016, at the Williams Chapel Baptist Church, 1142 Highway 29 South in East Dublin. Reverend James Sherman will officiate. Interment will follow in the Royal Springs Mission Cemetery.

Mr. Braddy, who passed on October 24, 2016, was born on September 20, 1948, to the late Tommie and Cleo Braddy. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Hattie Lee Braddy Dardy, and brothers, Tommie Lee Braddy, Jr., Alfred Braddy, Joe Braddy and Eddie Braddy.

He joined the Williams Chapel Baptist Church at an early age. He attended Dublin High School. Mr. Braddy worked at Bassett Furniture for more than 20 years.

He is survived by his sisters, Carrie Braddy, Corine Braddy of Dublin, a brother, J.T. (Lizzie) Braddy of Auburn, New York, a niece, Mary Braddy, nephews, Michael (Gwen) Braddy, Robert Braddy; aunts, Hattie Mason, Ester Crowd, Fannie Braddy, uncles, Joe McKissick and Lee Mason, and a host of brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and other relatives and friends.

The family is receiving friends at 314 Marcus Street in Dublin, and on Friday at the Dudley Funeral Home, 6-7 PM.
