Jalester Wright

Funeral services for Mr. Jalester "Jay" Wright, of Dublin, will be held on Thursday, August 31, 2017, at 12 PM at the Henry Memorial Presbyterian Church, 511 Bellevue Avenue in Dublin. Reverend Dr. Ricky Porter will deliver the eulogy. Interment will be held in the Dudley Memorial Cemetery.

Mr. Wright, who passed on August 25, 2017, was born on February 4, 1951, to the late Mr. and Mrs. Willie Jay and Bertha Wright. He was preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn Wright; brothers, Celester Wright and Thomas Wright.

Mr. Wright was a graduate of Oconee High School Class of 1970. He was employed by the Englehard/BASF Company for approximately forty years until his health declined.

He leaves to mourn his devoted long-time companion and partner, Elder Annie Ruth Hutchinson. Mr. Wright is also survived by his daughters, Lieutenant Colonel Kendra (Patrick) Green, Ft. Belvoir, Virginia, Jessica Wright and Jennifer Wright of Dublin; sisters, Willie Bell Coley, Rochester, New York, Dessie (Carey) Washington, East Dublin, Christine (Willie) Manning, Dublin; brothers, Charlie (Ardie) Wright, East Dublin, Richard Plummer, Macon; four grandchildren, Jacorius Moore, Patrick Green, II, Jeremiah Mack, Riley Wright and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The family is receiving friends at 1039 Blackshear Ferry Road and 1111 South Jefferson Street in Dublin.
