Funeral services for Mrs. Irene Horne, 44, will be held on Friday, January 13, 2012, at 11:00 AM at the Turkey Creek Missionary Baptist Church, 828 Scotland Road, Dublin. Dr. Frederick C. Williams will officiate. Interment will be in the Brown Grove Baptist Church cemetery. Mrs. Horne, who passed on January 9, was born in Augusta, Georgia. She is the daughter of L.V. Scott and the late Jimmie Scott, Sr. and was preceded in death by her son, Jeffery Phillips, Jr. and her sister, Stephanie Arnold. Mrs. Horne is survived by her husband, Willie Horne daughters, Ashley (Tavaris) Timmons of Warner Robins, Ivy I. Phillips of Dublin, a loving mother, L.V. Scott sisters, Brenda (Anthony) Green of Swainsboro, Patricia (Roosevelt) Burke of Metter two brothers, Joe C. (Felicia) Gillis of Wrightsville, Jimmie (Stephanie) Scott of Dublin five brothers-in-law, eight sisters-in-law mother-in-law, Drucilla and Robert Colson and father-in-law, R.C. and Mattlene Pitts and grandparents-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Essex Crawford.
