Funeral services for Mrs. Ireather Wiggins, 91, of Dudley, Georgia, will be held at 1 PM on Saturday, April 21, 2018, at the Rose Hill Baptist Church, 3416 US Highway 80 West in Dudley. Reverend Carlton Godfrey will deliver the eulogy. Interment will follow in the Dudley Memorial Cemetery in Dublin.

Ireather Godfrey was born on February 21, 1927, as the daughter of the late Sam and Luvenia Godfrey.

Mrs. Ireather Godfrey Wiggins was a devoted member of the Rose Hill Baptist Church where she served as the mother of the church, church secretary, deaconess, and as a choir member until her health failed. She passed away on Tuesday, April 17, 2018.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Roman Wiggins, by one daughter, Eva Delois Wiggins, and by siblings, Charlotte Edwards, Ida Mae Pryor, Adlene Hall, Comaletha Watkins, Fleta Blue, Carlton Godfrey, and Willie T. Godfrey.

Mrs. Wiggins leaves to cherish her memories two daughters, Vernell Wiggins and Sharon (Matthew) Channel, one son, Roy Wiggins, all of Dudley, sisters, Doretha Carswell of Montrose, and Arcenia Watkins of Dudley, sisters-in-law, Catherine Wiggins and Georgia Mae Godfrey, both of Dudley, one goddaughter, Ashley Ballard, three step-grandchildren, two great step-grandchildren, two very close grandchildren, Marika Channel and Sheena Lanier, one great-grandson, Braylon Baker, a very loving and caring son-in-law, Matthew Channel, and a very long-time friend, Ms. Gennie Mae King, and a host of other relatives and friends.

The family is receiving friends at 1031 Oak Street in Dudley.
