Funeral services for Mrs. Idella Mack Corbett, 95, of New York, New York, will be on Saturday, December 22, 2012, at 3PM at the Valdosta Baptist Church, 1975 Hwy 199 South, in East Dublin. Reverend John Sutton will be officiating. Interment will follow in the Valdosta Baptist Church Cemetery. She has transitioned from her earthly tabernacle to her heavenly home on Monday, December 17, 2012. Mrs. Corbett was born on September 14,1917, to the late Jacob and Hattie Mack. and raised in Orangeburg, South Carolina. She was married to the late Mr. Lovelyn Corbett and to this union ten children, with two preceding her in death. Four siblings also preceded her in death: Mary Brown, Mamie Brown, James Mack, and Moses Mack. She united with the Mt. Calvary Baptist Church in Orangeburg, South Carolina, where she accepted the Lord Jesus Christ in her life at an early age and served very faithfully. After living in New York City most her life, she moved to Dublin, and united with the Valdosta Missionary Baptist Church with Reverend John Sutton as the pastor. She is survived by eight lovely children, daughters, Idella Cook and Irene Eans, sons, Lovelyn (Francis) Corbett, Jr., Johnny (Ruby) Corbett, Eddie (Marie) Corbett, Theodore (Norma) Corbett, Michael (Rosemary) Corbett, and Larry Corbett, sisters and brothers, Alice Mitchell, Sara Mitchell, Johnnie (Ella) Mack, Jacob Mack, Willie (Lula) Mack, David (Rita) Mack, Patricia (Nathaniel) Pitts, Alberta Harris,in-laws, Johnny Brown and Barbara Mack, and a host of other grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends, who affectionately referred to her as "Aunt Della", "mother", "sis", "grandmom". She will be missed by all who knew her, and we know heaven is rejoicing. Visitation will at the home Mr. Willie and Lula Mack, 1166 Highway 199 South, East Dublin.
