Mr. Howard Smith was born December 30, 1936 in Clarksville, TX to John Smith and Delia Woods Black. He attended Cheatham High School. He enjoyed attending church whenever he could. He loved to dance, listen to music and spending time with family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters-Katherine Scott, Martha Brown, Gracie Wilburn, Betty S. Brooks, and brother-John Smith Jr.
