Funeral services for Mr. Hershel Lee Rozier, of Dublin, Georgia, will be held on Saturday, July 11, 2020, at 11 AM at the graveside in the Stanley Cemetery, Stanley Cemetery Road in Dublin. Reverend Winfred L. McCloud, Sr., will deliver the eulogy.

Mr. Hershel Lee Rozier was born on May 22, 1931, to the late Bubba and Julia Rozier in Dublin. He was educated in the Laurens County Schools. After high school, he joined the United States Army, and served as a Staff Sergeant in the 1950s Korean Conflict era and later in peacetime. Later he worked as a driver for the Florida Metro Bus Line and as a police officer with the Miami-Dade Police Department in Miami.

He returned to Georgia in 1965, married Fannie Corine Bell Rozier, and served in the Army Reserve for 23 years and he was employed at the Veterans Administration Center in the Dietetic Service Department for 27 years. He was a longtime member of the Prince Hall Masonic Lodge Chapter P3. On August 16, 1985, he was baptized and became a member of the Springhill Missionary Baptist Church. He passed away on July 1, 2020. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Nathaniel Rozier and Leodis Rozier, three sisters, Sybil Lee Judon, Ruby Lowther and Rosie Mae Jones, and by one son-in-law, Marvis Malone.

Mr. Rozier leaves to cherish his memories four sons, Reverend Grady L. (Elaine) Bell of Dublin, Hershel Derell Rozier of Dublin, Bernorris Lee Rozier of Atlanta, and Roderick Moss of Miami Gardens, Florida, five daughters, Linda L. Rozier of Atlanta, Katrina D. Malone of Dublin, Regina (Rod) English of Macon, Sandra Clarke of Pembroke Pines, Florida, Chiquita Davis of Miami Gardens, Florida, one brother, Roger Rozier of Newark, New Jersey, a dedicated niece, Lodis (McKinley) Smith, a dedicated cousin, Lemon Rozier, sixteen grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews cousins and friends.
