Funeral services for Mr. Hershel Lee Mitchell of Chester, will be held on Saturday, May 11, at 2 PM at C. D. Dudley Memorial Chapel at the Dudley Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Dudley Memorial Cemetery. Reverend Willie Gordon will officiate. Mr. Mitchell, who passed away on May 5, was born on April 1, 1950, to the late Ms. Evelyn Mitchell. He attended school in Dudley and was a very kind and loving person.

Mr. Mitchell leaves to cherish his loving memories, a devoted friend, Essie Jean Powell of Chester; six children, Neishelle Barber of Florida, Monesha Watkins (Walter) of Dublin, Tranesha Watkins of South Carolina, Crystal Powell of Eastman, Hershel Mitchell, Jr., of Virginia, Kimberly Mitchell of New Jersey; five sisters, Rosena Hill of Dublin, Vanessa Parks of Dublin, Pretoria Jackson of Atlanta, Tiffany Jackson of Atlanta, Crystal Mayes (Scottie) of Chester, one brother, Elester Parks of Dublin, fourteen grandchildren, one aunt, Minnie Vickers, four uncles, Howard Mitchell, Sr., Eugene Mitchell (Joanne), Otis Mitchell, Sylvester Smith, and a host of nieces, nephews, and very close friends.

The family will receive friends at 405 Rogers Avenue North, Chester.
