Funeral services for Mr. Herschel “Jack” McNear, Jr., 58, of Dublin will be held on Wednesday, March 11, 2015, at 2 PM at the Zion Hope Church of God In Christ, 408 Alabama Street, Dublin. Reverend Henry Channel will officiate. Burial will follow in the Rocky Creek Church Cemetery, 2138 Georgia Highway 338, Dexter.

Mr. McNear was born on November 12, 1956, in Laurens County to the late Herschel McNear, Sr. and Gladys Moore. He departed this life on Wednesday, March 4, 2015.

Mr. McNear is preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Ruby Odom.

Mr. McNear leaves to mourn his daughter, Dana Wesley; son, Daud Norris; three grandchildren; sister, Deborah McNear of Dublin; four brothers, Lonnie McNear of Atlanta, Ronnie McNear, Curtiss McNear, and John Wesley McNear all of Dublin; five aunts, Mary Coley Hollis of New York, Ethel Watkins of Newark, New Jersey, Josephine Thomas of Dublin, Sarah Channel of Dexter and Maude McNear; a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The family will receive friends at 130 Dudley Street, Dublin and on Tuesday, March 10 at Dudley Funeral Home from 6-7 pm.
