Herbert Harrison

Herbert Henry Harrison was born July 16, 1885 in Richmond Utah. He died August 23, 1935 in Lewiston, Utah. His wife Rachel Blair had this to say about him at a family reunion in 1960. I met him (Herb) the Spring of 1903, and on the 4th of July I went to the dance with him and from then on we were sweethearts. We were married November 15, 1905, in the Logan Temple. He was called to go on a Mission to the Central States, and left the 1st of June, 1906, and our son Herbert was born August 25, 1906. I lived with my parents till he got home from his Mission. Then we came to Lewiston and made our home. The rest of our children were Sylva, born June 7, 1909 Wayne Antrim, born January 10, 1911 Glenn Dale, born November 25, 1912 William Moine, born November 10, 1914 and Darwin Henry, born November 27, 1916. Now this grand Family numbers more than 70. How proud he would be to see all of you. He was a man with a very happy disposition. People that knew him still speak of his wonderful smile and wonderful spirit. Alta said, “Please don’t forget to tell of his Model “T” Ford, and that there was always room for one more.” He had many friends. I have never yet seen a larger Funeral than his in our ward.
