Helen Whitworth Wortman, 88, passed away on Friday, May 25, 2018 at her home in York.
The funeral will be held at 2 PM on Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at Bratton Funeral Home in York with Rev. Chris Lyles officiating. Burial will be at Lakeview Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 1 – 2 PM on Wednesday at Bratton Funeral Home.
Born June 15, 1929, Helen was a daughter of the late Clyde M. Whitworth and Etta Behiler Whitworth, and was the widow of Albert Wray Wortman. She was a member of First Baptist Church in York, and was retired from Holy Angels Hospital in Belmont, NC.
She is survived by daughter Suzie Wortman Person of Gaffney, son Jeff Wortman of York, brother, Bill Whitworth of Clover, four grandchildren, and six great grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, Helen was preceded in death by son Gary Wray Wortman and grandson Travis Wortman.
