Graveside Service for 89 year old, Mrs. Hattie Hurd of Amarillo, Texas, formerly of Clarksville, Texas will be Monday, August 1, 2016 @ 1:p.m. at English Cemetery, Clarksville, Texas with Rev. Joe Liggins officiating.
Interment: English Cemetery, Clarksville, TX.

Hattie Mae Hurd, 89, changed worlds and swapped lives on Sunday, July 24, 2016. Mrs. Hurd was born in Clarksville, TX on August 6, 1926 to Melvin and Fronie Jackson. She and her husband Lon Hurd, Sr. moved to Amarillo in the early fifties.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Lon “L.H.” Hurd, one daughter, Ocleta Chandler and one son, Leroy Hurd.
To cherish her memory: 4 daughters: Lillie “Pearl” Gilmore of Amarillo, Darlene “Lena” Douglas (Edwin “E.C.”) of Raytown, MO; Sarah Bates (Charles “CB”) of Arlington, Texas, Larita, “Sha” Russell, (Vernon), Hallsville, TX; 5 sons: William “Frank” Hurd (Renee) Lon Hurd, Jr. and Silas Hurd, all of Dallas, TX; Calvin Hurd, Sr. and Olaf Hurd, both of Amarillo and son-in-law, John Chandler, Jr. of Amarillo, TX; one sister-
in-law Oleta Hurd; and a host of grands and other relatives.
