Gwendolyn L. Trott, 82, of Eden passed away on Thursday, June 18, 2015, at a local care center in Eden.

Gwen was born on September 27, 1932 in Eden, Texas to George Ernest Trott and Vera (Hill) Trott. She spent her childhood in Eden, along with her beloved sister Ernestine. After graduating High School, she attended Business School in San Angelo. Upon graduation she went on to secure a job in Dallas for American Motors Corporation. While living in Dallas, she developed a passion for football and the Dallas Cowboys, whose games she attended regularly. Upon her retirement from American Motors, she returned home to take care of her parents who both predeceased her. Her beloved sister Ernestine (Trott) Varanouskas, predeceased both Ernest and Vera Trott. While caring for her parents she was involved in her church, First Baptist Church of Eden, and also took Tai Chi classes in town.

She is survived by her niece, Deborah (Varanouskas) Cooney, her husband Peter, daughters Caitlin and Megan of New York; her nephew Paul Varanouskas, his wife Colette and son Timothy of New York; her brother-in-law Tony Varanouskas of Pennsylvania; as well as many cousins.

Visitation hours will be 8:00am - 8:00pm Tuesday June 23, 2015 at Eden Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 10am Wednesday, June 24, 2015 at Eden Funeral Home with burial following the service in Eden Cemetery. Pastor Chris Curtis will officiate the service, while Deacons of the First Baptist Church will serve as Pall Bearers, and musicians.
