Funeral services for Mrs. Grace Elizabeth McCloud, of Dublin, will be held on Saturday, August 31, 2019 at 12 PM at the Greater New Friendship Baptist Church, 3265 Highway 19 South in Dublin. Reverend Dr. Winfred McCloud will deliver the eulogy. Pastor Nathan Amest will officiate. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

Grace Elizabeth O. McCloud began her life on November 8, 1934, as the youngest sibling of five children born to the late parents of Deacon Denson and Mother Linnie Mae Kemp O’Neal in Dublin, Georgia. At an early age, she attended Washington Street Elementary School and graduated from Oconee High School in the Class of 1953. She furthered her education at Savannah State University. For 28 years, she served as a paraprofessional-teacher at Susie Dasher Elementary School until her retirement. Her favorite hobbies were decorating her home, reading, and solving puzzles. Sister McCloud was a member of Greater New Friendship Baptist Church where she faithfully served with the Deaconess Ministry. Her earthly journey ended on Monday, August 26, 2019. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Denson “Skeet” O’Neal and James “Lindberg” O’Neal; and by her sister, Gladys L. Carswell, daughter-in-law, Charlene McCloud, and grandson, Nicolas McCloud.

Grace O. McCloud leaves to cherish precious memories to her beloved husband of 55 years, Dec. Mullis McCloud; her daughter, Melissa (Rev. Dr. Frederick Williams) and her son, Derrick McCloud both of Dublin, Ga.; five grandchildren, Whitley McCloud, Frederick Williams, II, and Gracelyn Williams all of Dublin; Antwuan Gray of Atlanta, Ga., and Joseph Gray of Hampton, Virginia; one sister, Mother Inez (Supt. Ira Edwards) of Dublin; sisters and brothers-in-law, Florine (Rev. William) Guy of Atlanta, Ga., Rev. Winfred & Alberta McCloud and Marilyn McCloud all of Dublin; special caregiver, Rhonda Lloyd; health providers, Shamrock Nursing and Rehab Center and Fairview Park Hospital-ER Unit & PCU Nursing Staff; and a host of nieces, nephews, other extended family and many dear friends.
