Funeral services for Ms. Gloria Gene Wright, of Wrightsville, Georgia, will be held at 1 PM on Thursday, March 7, 2018. at the Buckeye Baptist Church, 2176 New Buckeye Road in East Dublin. Reverend David G. Flowers will deliver the eulogy and Reverend Jerry Walden will preside. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

Gloria Gene Wright was born on June 19, 1953. At a young age, she joined Buckeye Baptist Church where she was a devoted member. She was a machine operator and worked for companies including Crown Tech and Apparelbrand in Wrightsville. Ms. Wright also worked for Nana’s Kitchen as a cook before retiring in 2017.

After battling illness, Gloria received her wings on March 2, 2019. She was preceded in death by her mother, Daisy Dell Wright, and her father (stepmother), Robert D. (Gladys) Wright, Sr., and by her brothers, Kelvin Wright and Joseph Nesbitt.

Left to cherish her memories are her two daughters, Tracey (Earnest) Butts and Katrinia (Timothy) Green, Macon, her siblings, Doretha Wright, Jimmy Lee Wright, Wrightsville, Janice (Johnnie) Anderson, Killeen, Texas, Robert Wright, Jr., James (Lillian)Wright, Melvin (Betty) Wright, Veatrice (Eddie) Rozier, Sheila Wright, Gary (Lareta) Duty, Dublin, Phillip (Sandra) Duty, Tennile, special nephew, Frederick (Latonya) Wright, Wrightsville, sisters-in-law, Shirley Wright and Alice Nesbitt, three grandchildren, Myricah Henderson, Keandrea Love, and Joshua Butts, uncles and aunts, William Wright, Miami, Florida, Hazel Chillis, Buffalo, New York, Flossie Scott, Chicago, Illinois, Mary (Nathan) Carter, Dublin, Inez (Kenneth) Sheppard, Mansfield, Ohio, a special cousin, Alethia Wright, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
