Gloria Medina

Our beloved Daughter, Sister, Mother, Aunt and Grandmother Gloria Maria Medina passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, January 15th, 2012. She was born on November 3, 1946 in Colombia, South America to Aminta Bayona Medina and the late Luis Alfredo Medina. She is survived by her mother Aminta Medina, brother Carlos Medina and his wife Marlene, daughter Monica Herterich and her husband Michael, niece Patricia Matthews and her husband Michael, nephew Carlos Medina and his wife Andrea, niece Margarita Maria Medina and her cherished grandsons Michael and Gabriel Herterich. In her life, Gloria dedicated herself to her family and to devoting herself to God and the Sacred Heart of Jesus. She was a trained accountant who loved to read, travel, read history and discuss politics with her brother Carlos. The family would like to express our gratitude to all who travelled so far to be with us during our time of grief from Alabama, Florida, Louisiana, New York and Texas. For those who could not make it you are missed but your prayers are with us and bring us comfort. Services will be held on Thursday, January 19th, 2012 at 10:00 at St. Marks Catholic Church followed by internment at Northlake Memorial Gardens.
