Funeral services for Mrs. Gladys Mills Davis, of Dublin, will be held on Sunday, August 2, 2020, at 2:30 PM at the graveside in the Reedy Springs Baptist Church Cemetery, 930 Rentz-Dexter Road in Rentz. Reverend Charlie Robinson will deliver the eulogy.

Gladys Davis, a native of Rentz, Georgia was born on March 23,1923, to the late Lucian and Mary Etta O'Neal Shewmake. In the early morning hours of Tuesday, July 28, 2020, she lost the shackles of this life to join her mother, father, sisters, and brothers on the shores of eternity. She was a member of the Reedy Springs Baptist Church in Rentz.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew Davis, mother and father, Mary Etta and Lucian Shewmake, brothers, Bennie, Ira, Willie Lee, and E. C. Shewmake and sisters, Mary Lois Knight and Rosa Lee Blaylock.

Strength, perseverance, and compassion are just some of the attributes that will be remembered about our beloved “Gally". The family will rejoice in wonderful memories. Gladys leaves to cherish her memories her son, Jimmy Lee Mills, daughter, Marion (David) Stuckey of Dublin, Georgia, a sister, Ethel O'Neal, four grandchildren, Germaine Mills of Arlington, Texas, Krystal Mills of Dublin, Georgia, Daphanie Cook of Powder Springs, Georgia, and Lamar Cook II of Dublin, Georgia, and seven great-grandchildren, Cachjuan Mills, Malique Mills, and Jordan Blue of Dublin, Georgia, Benjamin Cook of Powder Springs, Georgia, Xavier Cook of Statesboro, Georgia, Layla and Nyla Cook of Claxton, Georgia and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
