Georgia Lee Wallace was the daughter of Johnnie and Ada Lee Crawford. She was born March 27, 1953 and she started her eternal journey September 27, 2017. The dash is where her journey lies. She truly was a lover of the LORD. She united with Martin Shiloh as a child and remained there for 60 plus years. She later moved her membership to Union Baptist Church to support and be an encourager to her family who was new to the ministry. She performed many task during her tenure with both churches: choir, usher, Sunday school teacher, mission president, vice president of Joint Mission, an excellent speaker and the establisher of S.W.A.T. (Soul Winning Action Team). She was an Avery graduate class of 1972 and she took finance/accounting classes at Paris Jr College. She loved decorating, cooking but most of all she love Missionary work. Georgia was the true definition of the word “encourager” She was always trying to pull people in to do more for Christ. During the last couple of years her health began to fail but her faith never wavered. She was still making plans to come back to church with a new song… “I decided to make Jesus my choice”. Her goal was to live a life that would be pleasing to the Lord and we believe that she did just that. Preceding her in death are her infant twin sons Jay & Jerry Wallace, her parents: Johnnie and Ada Lee Crawford, three brothers: Johnny Crawford Jr, Samuel Crawford and Jerry Crawford and a sister Martha Williams. Left to mourn her passing is her husband, Billy Wallace, her sons Quintin Wallace (Kristy), Tony Wallace of Houston TX, daughters: Melba Anderson (Vance) of Chicago IL, Angela Kilgore of Dallas, and Judy Young of Houston, TX, two brothers Jimmy Crawford of Clarksville, Joe Crawford of Dallas, and one sister Lillie Bailey (Pastor Michael Bailey) of Clarksville a host of grandchildren, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
We believe that just as Paul said in his letter to Timothy – Sister Georgia has fought the good fight, she has finished her race and she kept the faith. We are also comforted to know that though she is absent from the body she is present with the Lord and if we live our lives as she did we will meet her on the other side so until then we will not say good bye but peace be with you until we meet again.
