George Clover

Funeral services for Mr. George Joe Clover, 64, of East Dublin, will be held on Saturday, March 31, 2012 at 11 AM at the Mitchell Grove Baptist Church at 78 Mitchell Grove Church Road in Wrightsville. Reverend Ricky Stanley will officiate. Interment will follow in the Mitchell Grove Church Cemetery. Mr. Clover, who passed away on March 24, 2012 in Dublin. was born on June 4, 1947. George Elver Clover was the sixth child born to the late, Mr. and Mrs. Willie Lee and Ella Wright Clover, Sr. of Wrightsville. Joe attended Dock Kemp School in Wrightsville and was a member of Mitchell Grove Baptist Church. Joe was employed for several years by JP Stevens and Evans Cabinet Factory before going to work for the City of Dublin for 25 years. At the time of his death, he worked in the sanitation department as a truck operator driving 4047. He was also a member of the Dublin Progressive Truck Cabinet. On June 30, 1984, Joe married the love of his life and best friend, Mary Louise English. In addition to his loving and devoted wife, those left to cherish his memories are his children, Cletus Blackshear, Tyler, LaWhitney and Arsenio Clover of East Dublin, George Anthony Clover of Kite, Mary Ann Clover of Columbus and Derek Clover of Twin City, brothers, Willie "Bill" (Janice) Clover, Jr., East Dublin, Early Clover, Las Vegas, Nevada and Willie Scott, Wrightsville sisters, Alzada Johnson, Bessie (John) McClendon, all of East Dublin, Evangelist Maxine Clover-Garcia, Dublin, Annette (Shelton) Hall, Wrightsville mother-in-law, Mary Frances English, Dudley in laws, Nesbert (Rosa) English and Rose E. English, all of Dudley, Mary Ruth English, Waterbury, Connecticut, Minister Ira (Linenell) English, Jonesboro, Francina Peterson, Marietta, Josephine Surry, Conley and Dollie (Marvin) Everett, Metter, GA several devoted aunts, Roger Lee (Roscoe) Jackson, East Dublin, Annie Lee Wright, Dublin and nieces and health care professionals devoted to his care and well being, Dr. DEtta (Willie) Jenkins, Dr. Cynthia Hicks, Breona Jenkins of Dublin and Gail (Herman) Carey, Barstow, California, Jennifer Williams, also with Hospice of Laurens County and his devoted friend and doctor, Dr. Manojkumar Patel, Dublin. He also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and devoted friends. Family will receive friends at 430 Wright Road in East Dublin.
