Funeral services for Mr. George Ray Alexander, of Dublin, Georgia, will be held at 1 PM on Monday, July 16, 2018, at the Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 2617 Vinson Highway SE, Milledgeville, Georgia.

George Ray Alexander was born on July 29, 1949, in Columbus, Georgia, as the son of James and Martha (Pase) Alexander. Mr. Alexander graduated from Paso Robles High School in Paso Robles, California. Following graduation, he served in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. After the war, he married Joyce Christian and they settled in San Diego, California. They celebrated 34 years of marriage in December of 2017. Mr. Alexander passed away on July 5, 2018.

He was preceded in death by his father, James Alexander, and by his brothers, Bobby Alexander and Robert Alexander. He is survived by his wife, Joyce Christian Alexander, his sons, Anthony (Leila) Alexander of San Diego, California, Ray Alexander of San Diego, California, his daughters, Brandy Alexander of Dublin, Georgia, Jennifer Alexander of San Diego, California, Denise Alexander of San Diego, California, grandchildren, Elijah Alexander, Jeremiah Alexander, Nevayah Christian, Dominique Jamel, DeVaughn Jamel Rufus, Madison Alexis Martin, his mother, Martha Pace Alexander, three brothers, Lamar Alexander, Gary Alexander and James Alexander.
