General Fordham

Funeral services for Mr. General Edward Fordham, of Toomsboro, Georgia, will be held on Wednesday, April 22, 2020, at 11 AM at the graveside in the Jordan Stream Baptist Church Cemetery, 17105 Georgia Highway 112 in Toomsboro. Reverend A. L. Gordon will deliver the eulogy.

Born on November 11, 1935, in Laurens County, Georgia, Mr. Fordham was the son of the late Deacon Murray and Rosa Fordham. He attended the Millville Public School system. From there he went on to work at the Chappell Mill corn meal factory where he worked alongside his big brother, George, until the mill closed. At a young age, he joined the Jordan Stream Baptist Church where he remained a member. He was preceded in death by his parents and by two brothers, George and Lewis Jay Fordham. On the morning of April 19, 2020, at Pruitt Health in Toomsboro, Mr. General Edward Fordham was called from labor to reward.

Mr. Fordham leaves to mourn his passing and to cherish his memories two sisters, Mrs. Jeanelle Strange of Toomsboro, and Mrs. Vickie (Eddie) Griffin of Dublin, a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins, along with the staff of Pruitt Health of Toomsboro where he was a resident for more than seven years.
