Funeral Services for Mr. Freddie Lee Bell, 67, of Dublin, will be held on Saturday, September 26, 2015 at 1 PM at the Mount Tilla Baptist Church, 2424 Highway 441 South, Irwinton. Reverend Carlos Jones will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Mr. Bell was born August 19, 1948, to the late Walter Lee Bell and the late Pearlie Mae “Hill” Bell. He attended Wilkinson County public schools. At an early age, he joined the Mount Tilla Baptist Church. He joined the U. S. Army in 1968 and served in the Vietnam War after which he received a Purple Heart, Bronze Star and an honorable discharge.

After the military, he received a diploma in auto mechanics from Swainsboro Technical College. Mr. Bell was employed at Bassett Furniture and then at Fred’s, Incorporated, until 2007, when he became a patient at the Carl Vinson Veterans Administration Medical Center until God called him home on September 21, 2015.

He was preceded in death by a younger brother, Walter Roger Bell. He leaves to cherish his memories a daughter, Linda Bell of Atlanta; one son, Freddie Lee Bell Jr. of Vidalia; three stepchildren, Shirley Howard and Quinshale McClendon, both of Atlanta, and Cordell McClendon of Vidalia; stepmother, Mary Alice Bell of Danville; five sisters, Geneva Hill Bennett of San Diego, California; Betty Jo Brown of Baltimore, Maryland; Helen Elaine Bell of Warner Robins, Dianne (Daryl) King and Shirley Ann Moss both of Dublin; five brothers, Charles (Ann) Bell of Dublin, Nathaniel (Regina) Mobley of Rentz, Calvin (Gwen) Bell, Lucious (Brenda) Bell and Walter (Sonya) Bell both of Montrose; three grandchildren, Camrin Bell, Ladarius Knight and Jah-Kerria Bell all of Atlanta; two great-grandchildren; one aunt, Pearlie Mae Bell of Baltimore, Maryland; and a host of relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends at 704 Springdale Road, Dublin
