Funeral services for Reverend Frankie Lee Holsey of Dublin will be held on Friday, May 2, at 11:00 at the New Bible Believers Missionary Baptist Church, 114 Hillcrest Drive in Dublin. Reverend Ellis Carswell will officiate. Interment will follow in the Dudley Memorial Cemetery.

Reverend Holsey who passed on April 26, 2014, was born on May 30, 1945. He was preceded in death by his parents, the late William Green Holsey and Annie Mae Holsey, and Charlie and Bertha Johnson. He was also preceded in death by three siblings, Johnny Lee Johnson, Marie Whipple and Robert Johnson.

Reverend Holsey accepted Christ at an early age and was an active and devoted member of Central Baptist Church until his health declined. He received his early education in the Charlotte-Micklingburg School System. He attended Johnson C. Smith University. Reverend Holsey served in the United States Army and received two Purple Hearts and a Bronze Star. He worked in the Laurens County and Dublin School Systems. Reverend Holsey was a licensed and ordained minister.

He leaves to cherish his memory his loving and devoted wife, Eva Holsey; six daughters, Delores Deese and Rhonda Holsey both of Charlotte, NC, Araba (Robert) Armstrong of Dublin, Abenna Steed of Hampton, Franka (Zachary) Holsey-Whipple of Stockbridge, Ericka Holsey of Rex; three sons, Rashad Holsey of Morrow, Rodney Wright of Dallas, Texas, Julian (Alicia) Scott of Houston, Texas; one sister, Charlie Mae Payne of Dublin; one brother, Willie Lee (Betty) Johnson of East Dublin, twenty grandchildren, one great grandchild, godchildren, a host of brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends at 1910 Green Street in Dublin.
