Graveside Service for 79 year old Mr. Floyd Ray Dotson of Clarksville, TX who went to be with his Lord and Savior June 3, 2020 at Clarksville Nursing Center, Clarksville, TX will be Monday, June 8, 2020 at 1:00 pm in Hebron Cemetery, Clarksville, TX with Rev. Wayne Rosser officiating. Interment: Hebron Cemetery.

Viewing will be Sunday from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Citizens Funeral Home Chapel.

Floyd Ray Dotson was born on October 25, 1940 to the parentage of Josh Dotson Jr. and Esterline Bean in Clarksville, Texas. He went to school at Cheatham and was a member of the St. James Baptist Church, both in Clarksville, Texas.

Floyd drove buses for Clarksville ISD for many years and enjoyed spending time with his family, playing dominoes, pool, and working on vehicles.

Floyd was preceded in death by his first wife, Joyce Jean Dotson, and later in life married Wanda Faye Dotson whom also preceded him in death; also, his parents; one son, Joe Ray Dotson; and his granddaughter, Tremika M. Taylor.

Those left to cherish the many memories of Floyd are his children, Joyce Edwards, Doris Taylor, Helen (Byron) Perry, Floyd (Marsha) Dotson Jr., Broc Dotson, Terrance (Patricia) Dotson, Ronald Taylor, and Donnie (Demita) Coleman; His siblings, Josh Dotson III, Zella Boone, and Brenda Dotson. Eight grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.
