Carl R. Bence began providing undertaking services out of his furniture store in 1931. He also owned an ambulance service which made it possible to provide transport for funeral services. Over the years, the Bence Funeral Home evolved to accommodate the needs of the community and it remained in the Bence family until 2012. Now, David and Jennifer Rairigh own and operate this Funeral Home and the one in Indiana, PA.
