Funeral services for Mrs. Evelyn W. Willis, of Dublin, Georgia, will be held on Friday, June 16, 2017, at 1 PM at the Reedy Springs Baptist Church, 930 Rentz-Dexter Highway, Rentz. Reverend Doctor Charlie J. Robinson will officiate. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Evelyn W. Willis was born on April 4, 1935, to the late Asberry and Letha Hester Wallace in Rentz. She entered eternal rest on June 10, 2017. She attended school in the Laurens County School System, and was employed at the Dublin Country Club as head cook when she retired after twenty seven years of service. At an early age, she joined the Reedy Springs Baptist Church, where she served as assistant mother of the church.

She was preceded by two sons, Robert Walden, and Roscoe Walden Jr., three brothers, Mack Wallace, O. C. Wallace, George Locke, two sisters, Jimmie Lee Peoples, Helen Lewis, one grandchild, Lawanda Thomas.

Mrs. Willis leaves to cherish her memory, four children, Annie Jean Walden, Ronald (Priscilla) Walden, Barbara Ann (Calvin) Payne, and Ellen Walden, all of Dublin, four brothers, Jocephus ("Joe") Josey of Dublin, Willie (Dorothy) Wallace Bowman of South Carolina, Westley Wallace of Linden, New Jersey, Edward (Loraine) Wallace of Hillside, New Jersey, one sister, Lizzie Mae Joiner of Newark, New Jersey, one sister-in-law, Elsie Wallace of Youngstown, Ohio, ten grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren, a close friend, Lois Boyer, and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

The family is receiving friends at 909 Magnolia Drive, Dublin.
