Funeral services for Mrs. Evelyn Harris Anderson, of Miami Gardens, Florida, will be held on Friday, December 28, 2018, at 11 AM, at the C. D. Dudley Memorial Chapel at the Dudley Funeral Home. Reverend Dr. Willie Edmond will deliver the eulogy. Interment will follow in the Mount Calvary Baptist Church Cemetery.

Evelyn Harris was born on April 2, 1937, in Youngstown, Ohio, to the late Lizzie Collins Harris and Elbert Harris Evelyn married Early Anderson, and to this union four children were born. Evelyn and her family moved to Miami, Florida, and she held several jobs. She moved back to Dublin, Georgia, where she worked and retired from Mohawk Industries in East Dublin. In her last years she resided in Miami Gardens, Florida, with her daughter and son-in-law. God called her home on the 18th day of December of 2018.

Mrs. Anderson was preceded in death by one son, David Anderson, a sister, Ruth Harris Coley, and two brothers, Edward Harris and Johnny Harris. She is survived by three of her children, Earl (Arleatha) Anderson, Jr., of Colquitt, Georgia, Barbara Ann (Alexander) Pratt of Miami Gardens, Florida, and Kenneth Darrell (Annette) of Miami, Florida, one sister, Doris Harris (John) Prince of Brooklyn, New York, one sister-in-law, Ola Harris of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, eight grandchildren, Temperance, Alex Terrell, Evelyn “Krissy”, all of Miami Gardens, Florida, Germonda, of New Jersey, Earl, III, Cherense, both of Bainbridge, Georgia, Matthew of Dublin, Georgia, Kiarika of Camilla, Georgia, Kenneth “Little Kenneth”, seventeen great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
