Eugene Tripp CLOVER Eugene Wesley Tripp, 88, of 508 McConnell Street died Wednesday, October 26, 2011, at Wayne T. Patrick Hospice House in Rock Hill. The funeral will be at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, October 29, 2011 at Bratton Funeral Home. The Rev. Ray Loftis and Rev. Bobby Gilley will be officiating. Burial will be at Lakeview Memory Gardens. Mr. Tripp was a son of the late John and Leva Darby Tripp. He was the widower of Viva Smith Tripp. Eugene was a member of East Clover Church of God and was retired from Westinghouse. He was a veteran of the US Army during WWII, serving in the battles of Ardennes, Rhineland, and Central Europe, where he received the American Theater Service Medal, EAME Service Medal with 3 Bronze Service Stars, Good Conduct Medal, Bronze Star Medal GO 185 Hq 10th Armored Div 17 July 45, and the World War II Victory Medal. He is survived by daughter, Glenda Lindsay and husband Odell of Clover, SC., two grandchildren, Billy Lindsay and wife Sarah of Naples, FL, Judson Lindsay and wife Jamie of Myrtle Beach, and two great-grandchildren, Ethan and Gavin Lindsay. Visitation will be held at Bratton Funeral Home on Saturday, October 29, 2011 from 10-11am. Memorials may be made to Wayne T.
