Funeral services for Ms. Essie Lou Montgomery, of Dublin, will be held on Saturday, August 15, 2015 at 11 AM at the Greater Mount Pullen & Zion Hill AME Church. Reverend Ted Walters will officiate. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

Ms. Montgomery, who passed on August 10, 2015, was born on May 21, 1944, to the late Mr. Johnnie Richard Montgomery, Sr., and Mrs. Annie Mae Montgomery. She was educated in the Laurens County School System and was a long-time care giver and friend to the William Padgett Family. At an early age, she united with the Zion Hill AME Church where she served as an usher in her early years.

Ms. Montgomery was preceded in death by her parents, by her brothers, Johnnie, Jr., London, James, Robert and Willie Lee, and by her sisters, Ms. Madie Williams, and Mrs. Valerie Locke.

She is survived by a son, Barry Frazier; three sisters, Annie Edmond, Mary (Nathaniel) Howard of Dublin, Liz Logan, Fort Lauderdale, Florida; one brother, Jessie Montgomery, Hollywood, Florida; a devoted nephew, Darral Locke, and host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends at 1019 Friar Tuck Court in Dublin.
