Funeral services for Mrs. Ernestine Dudley, of Dublin, will held on Monday, May 4, 2020, at 1 PM at the graveside in the Dudley Memorial Cemetery on East Mary Street in Dublin. Reverend James Robert Travick, Jr., will deliver the eulogy.

Mrs. Ernestine Norvell was born in Waco, Texas, on July 16, 1943, to Vera Norvell Johnson and Ernest Norvell. She was married to Eddie Dudley, Sr., of Dublin. She was a lifelong and faithful member and Usher at Nu-Hope Baptist Church of Dublin. Mrs. Dudley loved the church and its members more than anything else. She considered Nu-Hope Baptist Members to be her extended family. She showed this with over 50 years of devoted service. She loved to support the Dublin High School football and basketball games with her presence. When she was not at the games, she was traveling and enjoying time with her club sisters who she loved so dearly. Everyone loved her spirit especially Eddie, Sr., to whom she was married and was blessed with seven wonderful children.

Mrs. Dudley passed away on April 20, 2020. She was preceded in death by her parents, Vera Johnson and Ernest Norvell, her sister, Billie Johnson Parks, her husband, Eddie Dudley, Sr, her daughter, Angela (James) Robinson and by her son, Anthony (Everlene) Dudley.

She is survived by her children, Eddie Dudley, Jr., Steven Dudley, Timothy Dudley, Leslie (Mark) Newsome and Otha (Marunda) Dudley, her siblings, Alice Norvell Johnson, Wanda Kelly, Cecil (JoAnn) Johnson , Cornell Johnson, Linda (Charles) Jackson, Robert (Clara) Johnson, Terri (Byron) Wood, Dwayne Norvell and Darrell Norvell, a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.

She loved us all. Heaven has reclaimed one of its Angels.
