Funeral services for Mr. Ernest Chappell, of East Dublin, will be held on Friday, June 7, 2013, at 11:00 AM at the William Grove Baptist Church, 104 West Mary Street, in Dublin. Interment will follow in the Dudley Memorial Cemetery.

Mr. Chappell was born on August 22, 1958, at Laurens Memorial Hospital in Dublin. He was the thirteenth child of the late Cleotha and Clara K. Chappell. He slipped away suddenly on Thursday, May 30, 2013, to be with the Lord. Mr. Chappell was a graduate of West Laurens High School and a member of Stewart Chapel Baptist Church. He attended Royal Springs Baptist Church and William Grove Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by four brothers, Leo Chappell , Theodis Chappell, and Clarence Chappell, and godbrother, Gerald Wallace; two brothers-in-law, Randy Swint and Richard Swint; and three sisters-in-law, Barbara Denson, Betty Stanley, and Collie Chappell.

He leaves to cherish his precious memories a devoted wife, Jacqueline Swint, Chappell, eight daughters, Javana (Eddie) Smith, Constance Swint, Pauline [Claudie] Martin, Brenda Hamilton, Wanda (Dewayne) Carswell, Patronya Miller, and Rachel and Tracey Lemons; ll; five brothers, James (Helen) Chappell of Rochester, NY, Willie T. (Mary) Chappell of Villa Rica, GA, Curtis Chappell of Stone Mountain, GA, Clifford (Sandra) Chappell of Gray, GA, and Clinton Chappell of Rentz, GA; five sisters, Mattie Mathis and Unverl Jean Chappell of Lansing, MI, Essie Lindsey of East Dublin, GA, and Mary Dell Chappell and Fayetta (LT) Chappell of Rentz, GA; one uncle, James Chappell; three aunts, Corine Butler, Rosetta Worthen, and Barbara Session; in-laws, Margie Chappell, Mary Jane Chappell, Ricky (Annie) Swint, Loften (Linda) Swint of San Antonio, TX, Johnny Swint, Lemar (Carmaletha) Swint, and Gerri Swint; Al (Carleen) Myrick, Brenda (Wallace) Salems, and Tonya Pace; nineteen grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and family.

The family will receive friends at 606 B Jordan Street in East Dublin.
