Funeral services for Mrs. Emma "Sweet" Sanders Williams, of Dublin, will be held on Wednesday, December 28, 2016, at 2 PM at the Mount Moriah Baptist Church, 1106 Academy Avenue, Dublin. Reverend Clarence Thomas will officiate. Interment will follow in the Dudley Memorial Cemetery.

Mrs. Williams was born on April 23, 1923, as the ninth child of the late Tom and Laura Jones Sanders. She was married to the late Turner Williams, and to this union was born one child. Mrs. Williams joined the Rice Hill Baptist Church at an early age, and later moved her membership to the Mount Moriah Baptist Church,where she served faithfully until her health declined. She passed away on Thursday, December 22, 2016, at the age of 93. She was a former employee of the carpet mill in Dublin. Also preceding her in death were five brothers, Dodge Sanders, Bleacher Sanders, S. M. Sanders, Jay Sanders, and Deacon Charlie Sanders, and three sisters, Mollie Sanders Moore, Tommie Lee Sanders Blue, and Laura Sanders Ghent.

Mrs. Williams leaves to cherish her memory, a son, Deacon Luther Williams, one grandson, Tony Williams, a great-grandson, Marquis Cuyler of Dublin, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

The family is receiving friends at 518 Pine Street in Dublin.
