Funeral Services for Mrs. Emma Jean Graddy Sullivan, 61, of Wrightsville, Georgia, will be held on Tuesday, March 24, 2015, at 2 PM at the Ranger Grove Church of God in Christ, Ranger Grove Church Road in Wrightsville. Superintendent Ira Edwards, Sr., will officiate. Burial will follow in the Scott Cemetery in Wrightsville.

Mrs. Sullivan was born on September 8, 1953, to the late George Graddy, Jr., and the late Gladys Scott-Graddy. Her father died when she was 3 years old. On May 11, 1956, her mother married the late Lonzie Lee Walker who adopted Emma Jean Graddy as his daughter. Quietness and softness descended with peace and ended her life on Thursday, March 19, 2015.

She received her education at the Doc Kemp School where she was a cheerleader and majorette. At a very early age, she joined Ranger Grove Church of God in Christ. She was a seamstress with EZ Factory for 13 years. She also worked for Apparel Brands and with The Seafood Shack in Wrightsville as a cook. Her favorite pastimes were cooking and enjoying her plants. She was known for her collard greens and cornbread dressing.

She had a devoted friend, Alice Davis of Wrightsville, who preceded her in death. She was married to (United States Navy serviceman) Bernard Sullivan for 12 years.

Her loving memories will forever be cherished by her children and family including one daughter, Leca L. Rozier; two sons, Mickey (Matilda) Wright and Nicholas D. Rozier, all of Wrightsville; four brothers; one sister; three step-brothers; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends at the 74 Outlaw Road, Lot 6, Wrightsville, until 9 PM daily through March 24.
