Funeral Services for Mrs. Emma Dae Coney of East Dublin, will be held on Sunday, February 5, 2012, at 2 PM at the Hubbard Chapel Baptist Church, 22 Old Watermelon Road, Tennile, Georgia. Reverend Curtis Blair will be officiating. Interment will follow in the Hubbard Chapel Church Cemetery. Mrs. Emma Dae Coney entered this journey of life on September 24, 1912, and departed from life on this side on February 1, 2012. She was 99 years old when she went to be with Jesus. She was a faithful member of the Hubbard Chapel Baptist Church, under the leadership of Pastor Curtis and First Lady Blair, before her health declined. Mrs. Coney was preceded in death by her mother, Mrs. Anna V. Hurst, two sons, Mr. Willie C. Coney, Mr. L. C. Coney, one sister, Mrs. Bessie Mae Flanders, and one step-son, Captain Phillip Coney. Mrs. Coney leaves to cherish her wonderful memories, a sister, Odessa Hurst, a devoted and loving great-granddaughter, Stephanie (Antonio) Parks, her daughter-in-law, Gladys Carter Coney, nine grandchildren, Cathy (Roger) Lewis, Janice Maddox, Michael Carter, Graylon Coney, Ellist Carter, Ivory (Mack) Jones, Greta Taylor, all of Dublin, Donald (Alberta) Coney of Aviana, Italy, Althea Phillips of Augusta, sister-in-law, Bessie Lou Doyle of Swainsboro, brother-in-law, George Coney of Detroit, MI, twenty-one great grandchildren, twenty-nine great-great grandchildren, three great-great-great grandchildren and a host of great nephews, nieces, and other relatives and friends.
